Welcome to our new Blog Series – How To Drive Conversions’ . This week we look into Instagram.
But first, let’s remind ourselves what a conversion is.
Infiltrend tracks conversions (only in Pay Per Click Campaigns). A conversion is a click by the influencer’s audience. The click will be on the URL submitted by a brand & embedded into the content of an influencer. This could be in a blog post, an image in the post, on social media etc.
When a campaign is running, which means the influencers have been posting content on social media and blogs, it is the aim for all, that the content receives maximum exposure. Through maximum exposure, we will also increase the likelihood of clicks (or conversions) which is ultimately engagement with your campaign.
Wherever the content is posted, there are ways to plan your content and ensure that the link is properly embedded therefore increasing the chanes of clicks & conversions. This is beneficial to brands & influencer. In our new series, we will go through the different outlets to discuss how you can increase your clicks generated.
In Episode 1, we discuss Instagram!
For an influencer using Instagram in your regular posts, you can easily add a photo, short video or boomerang to your post on Instagram. You can use an image that you have taken pertaining to the campaign or you can also use the images a brand has sent you.
Under the image/video/boomerang post, you can write a comment & add content also relating to the campaign. However, you cannot add a link that is clickable for your reader. Instead, you have to add the desired link (the URL shortener that you have received as part of the campaign), and you can add this to you Bio. In your post though, be sure to direct you the customer to it by highlighting is to your readers with a comment such as ‘link in bio. Keep the link in your bio throughout the duration of your campaign and direct your audience to it.
Instagram Stories is also a favourite of ours however for the moment only verified accounts can add links to their stories. What we suggest is, if you would like to post an Instagram Story and mention the campaign, highlight that the clickable link is in your bio. Once this feature is open to all, we will update this post.
