From the title of this post, you can, I am sure, gather that in our first event, we talked a lot about why influencer marketing? We have we started a company where we spend so much time to perfect an influencer marketing product? Why is influencer marketing everywhere? Why has it grown and why will it continue to grow?
A brand needs to market and communicate to their customers and potential customers in a space where these customers give so much of their attention is.
We are, at the moment, all consumed with social media. We may not want to admit it but we are. The main reason is that social media is accessible from our iPhone which we use all the time and it is our decision when and where we access our social media profiles from. We use our social media to communicate, to connect, to keep updated but also for ideas and inspiration. If you and I do this, then so do our customers and our potential customers. This is where the attention is.
Through social media, the concept of the influencer has sprung. And influencer marketing is now dominating our marketing meetings. Our customers are listening and following influencers. They follow them without psychological ad blockers.

To the influencer
Influencers are a brand. They have a platform and they communicate to their audiences via these platforms. Their audience follows them because they are consistent. They are an influencer brand. They need to remain consistent and balance both keeping their audiences but working with brands. Selecting and picking brands needs to be strategic and logical. It must be a brand that fits their influencer audience.
To the brand
We spoke about the importance of influencer marketing but also spending the time to understand why you want to adopt influencer marketing. Knowing the answer to the why will help you select and pick the right influencer. Our logic for working with an influencer is not to look solely at reach.
Instead, select influencers who can deliver your message and achieve your KPI’s. Don’t forget to look at their audience. Their audience has to either be your customer or your potential customers. Work with multiple influencers who have different audience both demographically and geographically.
