Tracking Influencer Activity

October 30, 2017infiltrend

Programmatic results for your influencer activity with Infiltrend

As discussed in the last blog post, when it comes to influencer tracking, Infiltrend has a very specific way of tracking influencer marketing.

When a brand creates a campaign, they insert a URL. We’ve built Harviist, which effectively turns this URL into a URL code.

The influencer, who receives the campaign, integrates the URL code or URL shortener into their content, Harviist will be able to track people’s response to the influencer’s call for action. Each time the audience of the influencer clicks, Harviist is able to track this.

How a URL code is included in a campaign

Url codes or shorteners can be included in campaigns in a variety of ways. They can either be included in websites, landing pages or social media pages. The influencer’s job is to embed it into the content in a blog post, image or social media page using a medium which they feel will be well received by their audience. If the influencer’s campaign is successful and the audience clicks on the link, they will be redirected to the page where the goods or service are being sold.

How the URL code works with influencer tracking

An influencer will receive the URL code (which is usually set as a shortened code). This code will be unique to both the campaign and the influencer receiving it. By keeping codes unique, Harviist is able to track the activity and progress of each and every code and each and every influencer. Whether the code is added by influencers to their blogs, embedded in an image, a Facebook post, Instagram or on YouTube, Harviist will be able to track how many people have clicked and converted. Each and every click is a conversion and Infiltrend can show you all the conversions you have received in one space.

Why is influencer tracking important to a brand

Influencer tracking gives brands a lot of valuable data because not only are they able to gauge the efficiency of their campaigns overall but they will be able to see more specific data such as which influencers have generated the most interest and conversions. This will not only help brands in picking the right influencers for future campaigns but they’ll also be able to target their campaigns better for maximum effect. Thus, the campaign will be targeted at what the consumer actually desires rather than what the brand may merely think he desires.

How influencer tracking helps influencers reach their potential

By getting Infiltrend to work on tracking influencer marketing for you, you as an influencer will be able to understand whether particular brands work well with your audience or not. This will encourage you to try out new, creative ways of content creation and promotion and help you with future projects. It will also help you solidify your strengths.
